The Circle of Harmony, Live the Transition inspired by adaptation

Dubai, UAE (02 November 2021) – Natuzzi Italia, the made in Italy lifestyle brand, has recently announced their upcoming 2021/2022 collection – The Circle of Harmony, Live the Transition. The preview was first shown at the Milan Design Week which took commenced on September 5th and ended on September 10th.

Continuing the paradigm set by The Circle of Harmony which Natuzzi set with its 2020/2021 collection last year, Pasquale Junior Natuzzi, the brand’s Chief Creative Officer, invited eight designers to translate new furnishing needs to redefine objects and functions in view of the new challenges of everyday life. The circle of harmony is meant to be a creative space for participation and comparison between different design interpretations of the brand's DNA. The pieces reflect creative pulls and pushes of the furniture’s essential brand fabric, while staying true to the brands ethos of luxurious Italian craftsmanship.

The new collection centers on the theme of adaptation. Over the last two years, people spent more time at home than ever before. The malignant miasma of hopelessness turned homes into havens - safe spaces of love and light to combat the fear of the unknown. The new collection acts as a response to a new concept of harmony as a balance in changing the domestic spaces by adapting them to different function. Facilitating the creation of a “new normal,” the new pieces are grounded in the motto “Live the Transition” - a transition that becomes opportunity and substance, comparison and vision.

The designers involved focused on functionality, sustainability and well-being. The warmth of hospitality and inclusion and the rediscovery of the rhythms of 'slow living', which the world is returning to and which Mediterranean culture has known for millennia, inspired designers Lorenza Bozzoli and Massimo Iosa Ghini in the exploration of wellness design. In the same way

Sabine Marcelis, Marco Piva and Elena Salmistaro faced the increasingly widespread need to design flexible furnishings capable of overcoming the boundaries of the internal space of the house. A new, multi-purpose harmony, even between the environments intended for relaxation and those for work, is expressed by the furnishings designed by Patrick Norguet and Formafantasma, responding to the need for home office spaces even in small apartments. Furthermore, it is precisely the micro-living, intended as an opportunity to explore innovative solutions without having to renounce the quality of craftsmanship and design that inspired the project by Marcel Wanders studio.

Pasquale Junior Natuzzi said, “The ability to embrace evolution and change and to be enriched by this evolution is an inherent instinct in Mediterranean culture, an inexhaustible source of inspiration for our collections. It is precisely from this perspective that we have started this new journey, involving new designers to rethink the way we experience our homes, starting from contemporary living needs and enhancing them through the brand’s innovative design vision”.

Gayatri Dongre, Senior General Manager, Western Furniture LLC said, “The new collection is a mirror of a new world. Design itself is no longer the same. As is now the common practice to grab your mask along with your keys as you leave the house, it is now customary to think beyond the realms of whether this couch is beautiful or not or does it match by drapes. It is more about function, purpose, questions like can I work from home on this couch? Is this couch durable enough to withstand my kids using it days on end? Will I love this piece if I have to see it all day every day? These are the parameters that were used to create this new collection, a way to almost redefine the living space as we adapt to a world that changed before our very eyes.”

The new collection is now available. Visit the state-of-art showrooms at these locations:
•        Natuzzi, Sheikh Zayed Road between 2nd and 3rd interchange, Dubai
•        Natuzzi, near Al Maktoum Bridge, Umm Hurair Road, Dubai
