Lulu Launches Campaign to Promote Local Products

Abu Dhabi — LuLu Hypermarkets , the leading hypermarket chain today, launched a unique campaign to promote local products in connection with the 50th UAE National Day celebration.

 
The campaign was inaugurated by H.E. Saeed Al Bahri Salem Alameri, Director General of Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), in the presence of H.E. Eng. Jamal Salem Al Dhaheri, CEO of Silal, Yusuff Ali M.A., LuLu Group Chairman and Managing Director, Saifee Rupawala, LuLu Group CEO, Ashraf Ali M.A., LuLu Group Executive Director, and other officials at Mushrif Mall, Abu Dhabi.
 
As part of this initiative, LuLu will be promoting products, especially agricultural produce of UAE in association with many local farms and organisations, such as SILAL, Zayed Higher Organization, Elite Global Fresh Trading, Emirates Hydrophonics Farms, Al Dhara Baywe, Armela Farms, Green Fields, and International Beverages Healthy Farms.
 
On the occasion, Yusuff Ali M.A. said, “LuLu Group, as a local organization, has always firmly believed in promoting local businesses, especially the agricultural sector to empower local farmers and increase the competitiveness of local produce. As a responsible retailer, it is our duty to provide a sustainable market for local industries which will not only help the industry but also further strengthen the food security of UAE. I thank the visionary rulers of this great country for creating world-class infrastructure and conducive business atmosphere for the all-round growth of the UAE.”
 
H.E. Saeed Al Bahri Salem Alameri, Director General of ADAFSA praised the efforts of the Lulu Hypermarket Group in promoting local products and supporting farmers by marketing their products directly to the public through its outlets located in all the emirates of the country, stressing the keenness of the wise leadership to support the marketing of local production and enhance the sustainability of the agricultural sector and contribute to increasing the market share of local products through offers and initiatives.”
 
Recently, LuLu had signed an MOU with SILAL, Abu Dhabi’s new fresh produce and agritech company to provide consumers across the UAE with local fresh fruits and vegetables that are harvested in Abu Dhabi farms.
