Spring/summer 2022 is a celebration of fashion’s free-spirits; the women who don’t follow trends

– but set their own. For the first part of the collection, the muse is Kate Moss. We take inspiration from two different sides of her style personality: the rebellious rock chick and the romantic bohemian. As we head into high summer and the second part of the collection, we imagine different

– but no less compelling – muses, two young travellers on a Tuscan road trip. In this celebration of the curiosity and joy evoked by travel, they share with Kate an irresistible sense of adventure translated into their clothing, spirit and attitude. Come and join us!

ROCK CHIC

Kate’s off-duty style is as captivating as her on-catwalk appearances. Looking to her tailored, rebelliously rock-n-roll street style for inspiration, we kick off SS22 with cigarette pants, double breasted blazers, crepe de chine shirts and miniskirts. Animal prints and micro florals are totally Kate, and worn together for maximum rule-breaking glamour. Splashes of bold colour makes the looks unmistakably MAX&Co.

RED, WHITE AND BLUE

From the ’90s to now, jeans are always a recurring hero in Kate’s wardrobe. This season, we give denim an indigo wash and frayed edges. Alongside skinny or cropped bootcut jeans, denim also works its way onto shirting, accessories, mini and midi skirts, plus an asymmetric pinafore. What to wear with your denim now? ESCAPE TO THE COUNTRY

In the countryside, Kate leans into her romantic, bohemian side. A more feminine spirit comes to the fore, translated via floral prints, mini dresses and soft ruffles. Her tomboyish side still has space to run free, however. It’s all about contrasts: hooded parkas thrown over fluid dresses, wellies and walking boors worn with miniskirts, brights teamed with heritage checks.

BOLD AND BRIGHT

If Kate went back to university, <this> is what she’d be wearing. Preppy style is a top-of-the-class proposition for both on duty – and off. The MAX&Co. logo is reworked as collegiate coat of arms

– a recurring motif throughout the collection – and is here found on varsity bomber jackets, pinafores and blazers. Star pupil shirting and cable knits are offset with a cargo pants, denim and hoodies, while expressively patterned knitwear expresses a sense of after school adventure. A+.
