Samsung Launches ‘Green Repair Campaign' to Provide Customers with Sustainable Experiences
New repair options are now available for TV panels and mobile phone screens as part of the brand’s imminent strategy to reduce e-waste
Dubai, UAE – 24 March 2022: Samsung Gulf Electronics today announced the ‘Green Repair Campaign’ to benefit all customers in the UAE with a new sustainable service designed to reduce e-waste with TV panel repairs and screen repairs for mobile phones. In this way, Samsung continues to vouch for a more sustainably future with timely support for consumers through eco-conscious solutions and exclusive benefits to spearhead product repairs.
'At Samsung, we continuously seek to satisfy the needs and possibilities that sustainability brings to the table for the benefit of our consumers and the planet. As the world pursues more and more green solutions, as a firm provider of conscious products we believe upcycling can provide further trust and loyalty to our products,” said Kiran Tewari, Head of Customer Service, Samsung Gulf Electronics. 'Today, more and more consumers interact with brands that share the same values and principles. The Green Repair Campaign not only reaffirms our dedication to our customer demands but raises more awareness on sustainable options in the industry for the greater audience. Today, Samsung's sustainability credentials continue to be enhanced, we look forward to further integrate consumer needs in the UAE and align with the mutual environment footprint vision of Samsung, the country's leadership, and themselves.'
Customers participating in the Green Repair Campaign can now enjoy valuable repair options and benefits to lengthen the life span of their device. Each customer will gain vouchers amounting up to 300 AED upon their purchase on the e-store or enjoy a door-to-door repair service including a limited time offer for instant free pick-up and return delivery. Other customer benefits include an exclusive six-month warranty, to be effective on all mobile phone spare parts used for the repair.
In line with the Green Repair Campaign, Samsung continues its journey of providing eco-packaging that promotes a sustainable end-to-end product lifecycle. The concept came to life when Samsung identified that there must be a way to turn TV packaging into something useful rather than disposing of it. As such, all lifestyle TV, QLED, monitor, and audio products now come with Samsung’s Eco-Packaging, which has been designed so consumers can upcycle at home, repurpose boxes for other benefits, and reduce their carbon footprints.
