Tadweer Participates in the Sheikh Zayed Festival as a Strategic Sponsor and Partner
15 November 2022, Abu Dhabi, UAE: The Abu Dhabi Waste Management Center (Tadweer) has announced its participation as a strategic sponsor and partner in the Sheikh Zayed Festival, which will be held in Al Wathba region from 18 November 2022 to 18 March 2023. The Center’s participation in the festival comes in line with its objectives to raise awareness about its services, maintain the Festival’s cleanliness and control public health pests during the event.
The Festival is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court. The Festival which is one of the most significant annual events, reflects the great efforts of the founding father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, to preserve the deep-rooted Emirati heritage, traditions, and customs.
His Excellency Dr. Salem Khalfan Al Kaabi, Acting Director General of Tadweer, said: “We are honored to be the strategic sponsor of the Sheikh Zayed Festival, which has a regional and international significance. The festival sheds light on the cultural and civilized heritage of the UAE, a key pillar to the country’s journey towards excellence and prosperity.”
“The Center’s participation as a strategic sponsor and partner comes as part of its commitment to support national activities and its corporate social responsibility to raise the public’s awareness on the importance of maintaining a healthy and clean environment in Abu Dhabi,” His Excellency added.
Throughout the festival, the Center will offer waste collection, transport and pest control services, by providing 297 advanced equipment and vehicles, as well as around 255 containers with modern designs. Additionally, the center will arrange manual and automatic sweeping services on the main roads and the roads leading to the site. Specialized work teams comprised of around 150 workers from the Center will maintain the site’s cleanliness before, during, and after the festival.
The Center will also carry out specialised operations for controlling pests and insects such as flies, mosquitoes, rodents, etc., in addition to preventative measures to limit them from proliferating, by focusing its efforts on the vital areas in the site.
