Groundbreaking event adds jiu-jitsu bout, along with two co-main events to star-studded lineup in addition to ten thrilling fights

Abu Dhabi, 25 December 2024 — After the resounding success of its inaugural edition, the Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship (ADXC), organised by International Vision Sports Management (IVSM) and in collaboration with the AJP, poised for an even more exhilarating second edition with ADXC 2.  Celebrated as the capital of jiu-jitsu, Abu Dhabi is set to reclaim the spotlight in this groundbreaking tournament on January 19th, 2024, at the Mubadala Arena.
Building on the triumph of ADXC1, the organization is thrilled to present an electrifying lineup for the grappling main event of ADXC 2. Former UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling, widely known as 'The Funk Master,' will go head-to-head with UFC lightweight sensation Chase Hooper in a highly anticipated main event at the Mubadala Arena.

Beyond the epic clash between Aljamain Sterling and Chase Hooper, ADXC 2 promises a jiu-jitsu main Event, two co-main events, and ten additional thrilling duels, ensuring a night filled with non-stop action.
The first ADXC not only met expectations but surpassed them, establishing itself as a prominent event in the world of combat sports. Selecting Abu Dhabi, the global capital of Jiu-Jitsu, as the host for the second edition underscores Abu Dhabi's commitment to advancing grappling. The addition of the main jiu-jitsu event aims to inspire athletes, promote grappling growth, and showcase technical advancements in the UAE and the wider region.
In the realm of mixed martial arts, Sterling has earned recognition with 23 victories and successfully defended the UFC bantamweight title three times until 2023. His expertise in submission moves, particularly the chokehold and the Soloev Stretching move, cements Sterling's status as a formidable athlete, promising an exciting presence in this eagerly awaited event.

Known as 'Dream,' Hooper boasts an impressive record of 13 victories, including five via chokehold and one via foot pin submission. With two recent victories in the Ultimate Championship, Hooper looks forward to delivering a standout performance and facing his opponent—a former UFC champion—in the main grappling event hosted by Abu Dhabi Extreme.
The main event is scheduled for five rounds, each lasting three minutes inside the cage, offering spectators a display of exceptional skills, technical prowess, and unwavering fighting spirit.
