
Inovartic and Al Masaood Energy Unveil Groundbreaking Oil Absorption Technology during ADIPEC 2024
UAE, Abu Dhabi, 18 November 2024: With the support of Abu Dhabi University's (ADU) Graphene Center and the Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology (SLINTEC), Inovartic Investment and Al Masaood Energy announced the commercialization of their pioneering oil absorption technology during ADIPEC 2024. This expanded graphite-based solution offers sustainable oil spill management, marking a significant advancement in environmental technology.
The innovative expanded graphite-based technology is set to revolutionize the oil absorption process due to its exceptional properties including high porosity, expansive surface area, and superior oil absorption capacity. This eco-friendly solution enables rapid and efficient management of oil spills, minimizing environmental damage and accelerating recovery operations.
The commercialization of the oil absorption technology is further reinforced by the recent launch of ADU's first Graphene Center, a dedicated facility to enhancing research and innovation in graphene technology. The cutting-edge facility will serve as an innovation hub, providing essential resources and collaborative opportunities to accelerate the commercialization of new technologies in line with the UAE's In-Country Value (ICV) initiative.
