The two-day event reflects Miral’s efforts to craft enriching and memorable experiences that inspire, educate, and entertain

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 11 December 2024: Miral, the leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences in Abu Dhabi, invites the community to celebrate the beauty and intricacies of Arabic culture and language with “Funoon Bil Arabi” at Mamsha Al Saadiyat on Saadiyat Island on 19 and 20 December 2024, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Organised in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) and Image Nation Abu Dhabi, Funoon Bil Arabi is free for families and children to attend. In commemoration of Arabic Language Day, the event will feature engaging Arabic workshops, including tote bag design, bracelet making, and ceramic painting.

Visitors can enjoy Arabic storytelling sessions, live musical performances, captivating puppet shows, meet-and-greet with beloved children’s character, Faynoonah, educational Arabic cartoons provided by the leading e-learning platform Madrasa and a dedicated Henna station. The event will also showcase screenings of popular Arabic feature films, ‘Al Eid Eiden’ and ‘Shabab Sheyab’, produced by Image Nation Abu Dhabi.

As part of Miral’s commitment to the arts and culture pillar under its Group CSR Strategy, the community event aims to contribute to the UAE’s efforts to preserve its heritage and foster cultural awareness, blending art, education, language and entertainment to spark curiosity and nurture creativity.

World Arabic Language Day, celebrated annually on 18 December, recognises the significance of Arabic as one of the six official languages of the United Nations. Established in 2012, it coincides with the date in 1973 when the UN General Assembly adopted Arabic as an official language, acknowledging its global importance and contribution to cultural diversity.

Funoon Bil Arabi takes place on 19 - 20 December between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. and is free for all ages to attend without prior registration. For more information and the schedule, please follow @TheMiralGroup on social media.
