Abu Dhabi, UAE – 27 December 2021: Palms Sports, the leading provider of sports training programs and avid promoter of health and wellness in the region, announced today that the West Yas Community on Yas Island one of the world’s leading leisure and entertainment destinations, is set to become home to the world’s first ‘Khabib Gym by Palms Sports’. Spread over a 1,500 sqm area leased from Miral, Abu Dhabi’s leading curator of magnetic experiences, the gym is currently under construction 

 

Khabib Gym by Palms Sports will be inspired by the training and fitness philosophy of Khabib Nurmagomedov, one of the greatest UFC fighters of all time, and will offer members a five-star fitness experience with world-class amenities. 

 

It will feature a host of outstanding fitness options, including a unique MMA cage that will allow aspiring young athletes and budding fighters to train to the highest standards and build their competitive edge. Staffed with internationally accredited instructors and trainers, the facility will cater to different disciplines of martial arts including a large, matted area for grappling sports such as Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling, and a separate studio for striking-based sports e.g., Muay Thai, boxing and kickboxing. The state-of-the-art facility will include a fully-fledged gym with cardio, fitness and cycling areas as well as a functional training zones, paddle tennis courts, and a swimming pool; promoting a healthy, active lifestyle in a comfortable and private setting.

Located on a scenic waterfront, the gym’s indoor facilities are complemented by a spacious external area that hosts several activities. These include a relaxation pool with shaded cabanas and amenities including showers and changing rooms, as well as a paddle tennis court for light sports activities, and an F&B area serving healthy choices to refuel and recharge. For water sports enthusiasts, the gym will also offer a host of aquatic activities. With its unique location on the waterfront, the gym will offer direct access to the marina. 

 

Khabib Gym by Palms Sports is the latest addition announced this year on Yas Island following a series of exciting openings that have contributed to enriching destination’s immersive leisure, entertainment, hospitality and dining experiences.
